Read Me - Installation
Instructions
- Click on
the underlined link titled “remote client software
version 1.2.8A”
- Click
“save” and select the C:\ as the destination folder
- When
download is complete, click “close” on the download
window.
- Minimize
the web browser, click on “My Computer”, then “Local
Disk (C:)”
- Double
click on “USA_Remote_Client_1-2-8A”
- Click on
“Run” is window pops up that says “this program
cannot be verified”
- Click
“Browse” on window titled “USA_Remote_Client_1-2-8A-
WinRAR”
- Select
C:\ as destination and click “OK” then click
“Install”
- Close
out all windows, and return to the Local Disk (C:)
- Open
file folder titled “Maxum 2006 server version
1.2.8A”
- Double
click on icon labeled “Client” (It looks like two
monitors with arrows pointing back and forth)
- It will
ask you for a password. Click “OK”, there is no
password.
- Next
click “Setup”
- Click
“Server Setup” in the upper right hand corner of the
setup window
- Click on
“server-01”
- In the
address field put in the IP address 63.253.105.178
- Put 4 in
number of channels
- Type in
USA remote client in server name
- Click
“OK”
- Click on
the advanced tab on the upper left hand corner of
the setup window
-
Checkmark “auto-remote playback” and “high quality
playback”
- Click
“APPLY” then “OK”
- Select a
four screen split on the upper right hand side of
the screen
- Click on
the “CONNECT” button on the bottom middle of the
screen
- Click on
the “Select all” button on bottom left of connect
window and all channels will highlight out
- Click
“OK” and video should appear. *If connection is not
made, try disabling firewalls and security*
- Camera 1
is a PTZ- Control it by pressing the PTZ button

Enabling ActiveX in Microsoft
Internet Explorer
NOTE: Enabling
ActiveX may pose a security risk. If your computer is inside an
organizational firewall, consult your network administrator.
To install and use the web client software with the Microsoft
Internet Explorer (IE) Web browser, you will need ActiveX
enabled. ActiveX is a feature in IE to enable you to add
software components to your browser. When IE was first installed
on your computer, ActiveX was automatically disabled. Therefore,
you will need to follow this procedure to enabled Unsigned
ActiveX.
Internet Explorer 6 or 7

Select Tools,
then Internet Options from
the menu at the top of the Internet Explorer window. The Internet
Options window
will appear.

Select Security from
the list of tabs at the top of the Internet
Options window.
The Security tab
will appear.
-
Select the Custom
Level button.
The Security Settings window will appear.
-
Scroll down to the Download
unsigned ActiveX controls entry
and select the prompt radio
button.

Select the OK button
to accept the changes
-
Restart Internet Explorer and
retry
